Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tee Trade platform (“Tee Trade,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website at goteetrade.com and any related services. Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. By creating an account or using Tee Trade in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tee Trade, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Platform Description

Tee Trade is a peer-to-peer marketplace that enables private golf club members (“Members”) to list unused tee times for purchase by outside golfers (“Guests”) who have been vetted by the platform.

Tee Trade is not a golf club, a club operator, or an agent of any private club. We provide technology infrastructure that connects Members and Guests. All golf experiences, club rules, and on-course conduct are governed by the individual clubs and their membership agreements.

Tee Trade does not guarantee the availability of any listed tee time, the quality of any golf experience, or the conduct of any Member or Guest.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

To use Tee Trade you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we believe violates these Terms, provides false information, or poses a risk to the platform or its users.

4. Member Responsibilities

If you use Tee Trade as a Member (club member listing tee times), you agree to the following:

Accuracy of Listings

  • All listing information (date, time, price, spots, course) must be accurate and up-to-date
  • You must have the right to sponsor guests at your club under your membership agreement
  • You must cancel any listing you can no longer fulfill promptly and in advance
  • You may not list tee times at clubs where guest play is prohibited by your membership

Guest Approval

  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving or denying Guest booking requests in a timely manner
  • You may not discriminate against Guests on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, or any other protected characteristic
  • Once a booking is confirmed, you are responsible for ensuring the Guest can access the course on the agreed date and time

Compliance with Club Rules

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring any tee time listing and guest play complies with your club's membership agreement and guest policies
  • Tee Trade bears no responsibility for violations of your club's rules that arise from your use of the platform

5. Guest Responsibilities

If you use Tee Trade as a Guest (booking tee times at private clubs), you agree to the following:

Conduct on Course

  • You will conduct yourself professionally and respectfully at all times while on club property
  • You will follow all club rules, staff instructions, and course etiquette standards
  • You will not damage club property or engage in disruptive or inappropriate behavior
  • You understand that the hosting Member may be held responsible for your conduct by their club

Dress Code

  • You will adhere to the dress code specified in your booking confirmation
  • Standard private club dress code requires collared shirts, golf-appropriate trousers or shorts, and soft-spike or spikeless golf shoes
  • Denim, athletic shorts, t-shirts, and metal spike shoes are typically prohibited
  • The club has final authority over dress code compliance and may deny entry for violations

Pace of Play

  • You will arrive at least 15 minutes before your tee time to check in at the pro shop
  • You will maintain an appropriate pace of play consistent with the group ahead
  • Failure to adhere to pace expectations may result in removal from the course without refund

Check-In

  • You must present your booking confirmation and guest pass code at the pro shop upon arrival
  • You may be denied access if you cannot present valid booking credentials

6. Payments and Fees

Booking Payment

Payment is not charged at the time of booking request. A booking request places a hold on your payment method. Your card is charged only after the Member approves your request and you confirm payment through the platform.

Fee Breakdown

The total booking amount is allocated as follows:

  • 75% — Member payout (paid to the listing member via Stripe Connect)
  • 15% — Course fee (remitted to the club, where applicable)
  • 10% — Tee Trade platform fee

Refund Policy

Tee Trade operates a limited refund policy. Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:

  • A Member cancels a confirmed booking — full refund issued to the Guest
  • The booking cannot be fulfilled due to a course closure beyond either party's control — full refund issued
  • A Guest requests cancellation more than 48 hours before the tee time — a 50% refund may be issued at Tee Trade's discretion
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the tee time are non-refundable

Refund requests must be submitted via email to hello@goteetrade.com. Tee Trade's decision on refunds is final.

Member Payouts

Member payouts are processed via Stripe Connect after a booking is marked complete. Members must complete Stripe onboarding to receive payouts. Tee Trade is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe's processing times or incomplete onboarding.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use Tee Trade to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or account information
  • Circumvent payments by arranging bookings outside the platform
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party agreement
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's technical operation
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or bans

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, removal of listings, forfeiture of pending payouts, and legal action where appropriate.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Tee Trade platform — including the Tee Trade name, logo, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to Tee Trade and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Tee Trade content without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tee Trade and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Injury, property damage, or loss occurring on club premises
  • Denial of access by a club or Member
  • Cancellation of a booking by either party
  • Violations of club rules by any user
  • Any dispute between a Member and a Guest

Tee Trade's maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Tee Trade in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Tee Trade is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tee Trade and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any club membership agreement; or (d) your conduct on a golf course.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Tee Trade shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Collier County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at hello@goteetrade.com.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tee Trade regarding your use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
